Embedded and Enterprise?

In fact, this has been difficult to combine so far, as both the technologies used and the mindset of the respective developer in the two areas differ significantly. My work from 2013 to 2019 in the banking environment allowed me to develop solid skills in the enterprise domain. While still in this role, I started to learn the ropes in the embedded space. Then, since 2019, I have professionalised as an embedded software engineer. My deep understanding in both areas allows me to routinely meet the high integrative challenges in today's projects.

In order not to limit myself too much technically, I have specialised in the programming language Rust. With this programming language it is possible to close the gap between embedded and enterprise also technologically and to move fluently between these worlds. Are you not yet familiar with Rust? No problem. I'll be happy to pick you up so that you can confidently implement your projects in it.

Enterprise

I started my professional career in the "Sparkassen"-group at Finanz Informatik Solutions Plus. Here I concentrated primarily on the development and maintenance of banking products for the respective bank and its end customers. Technologically, the focus was on Java, Spring (Boot), Hibernate, Bootstrap, AngularJS and Vue.js.

With this knowledge I am also able to develop web applications in Rust with corresponding backend stack (e.g. Rocket.rs and Diesel ) and up-to-date frontend stack (e.g. Bootstrap 5 and Vue.js 3).

Embedded

Driven by the desire for new challenges and more interdisciplinarity, I took the professional step into the world of software development for embedded systems. My private interest, which I had already gathered in advance, made this step enormously easier for me. From 2019 until 2022, I worked professionally as an embedded software developer at Zühlke and have been able to successfully overcome all challenges that have arisen. Here I was able to gain valuable experience with embedded Linux systems and low-level microcontrollers, such as various STM32 models.

In the embedded area, I was able to successfully evaluate the capability of the Rust programming language and, for example, set up a highly scalable (bare metal) project infrastructure based on Azure DevOps.
